The Hands Behind Respiro
Every Respiro piece begins in the hands of an artisan.
Our jewelry is created in collaboration with women from the Kamëntsá-Inga community of Putumayo, Colombia, where beadwork is more than a craft — it is a tradition passed from one generation to the next.
Bead by bead, each creation reflects patience, skill, and cultural heritage.
By choosing Respiro, you help preserve ancestral craftsmanship and support artisan families in bringing their work to the world.
Materials and Longevity
Each Respiro piece is hand-beaded using fine glass beads traditionally known as mostacillas.
Crafted in collaboration with artisan communities in Colombia, every necklace is shaped bead by bead, creating lightweight sculptural forms with subtle variations unique to each piece.
To preserve its beauty over time, store flat or hanging and avoid prolonged exposure to water, perfumes and creams.
With mindful care, your Respiro piece is designed to accompany you for many years.
